Being Sad + Gym

At times it can be hard going to school away from home because you feel sad. I have no family out in the bay area, making it hard to find a place called home. Feeling sad can be normal because it can help alleviate issues inside or even help the person connect with others to make them feel special. This feeling can either make or break a person. This semester I have been struggling with staying connected with others.

I have been feeling very sad recently, I have been working through this by using the gym as a way to let go of some of my sadness from missing home to being sad about all my worries about school. At times I have to remember to stay connected with others but the gym helps me. Going to the gym makes me happier as I am able to stay physically healthy as well as mentally happy. The gym can help many in achieving their goals in life.

I encourage everyone to go to the gym at least once a week as it helps with many different problems. It also provides a safe space to work on your fitness or even to alleviate some depression or stress. So get off your couch and go work out!
