Hello everyone! I hope y’all have had an amazing holiday season this year as 2018 comes to an end. I know I have been eating my heart out with all my family dinners as well as all my eating out I have been able to do thanks to my pay raise! However, that is no excuse to spend money on eating out rather than making healthier and affordable home cooked meals. Eating healthy is a priority that many of us need to consider for our own health issues or to strive to achieve a better and healthier life starting with our decision on what to eat on the daily. Due to all the holidays, I find it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy diet, especially during the holiday season. So today I thought I would share my favorite homemade meal that I will be taking to y’all today.
A salmon burger is a healthy and delicious alternative to a more tradition burger usually containing a pound of beef. Salmon is healthier than beef because salmon is a leaner meat containing less saturated fat while beef is about 50% made of saturated fats. An interesting statistic I discovered is in salmon it consists of about 80% of unsaturated fat. This statistic alone should encourage consumers to eat more salmon rather than beef. The way I achieve this healthy meal is very simple. I just buy pre-made patties from Costco. Then I just buy some hamburger bread and use spinach inside my salmon burger. Finally there you go and you have just made a healthy alternative for hamburgers.
